Refer to the previous comments. There was a lack of communication, and I wish I was communicated with me before doing $2,000 worth of work on my home.
Lured in with low price compared to higher quality alternatives. After signing contract, stuck waiting almost 3 months for start date. Once we asked to cancel contract they dishonestly penalized us and suddenly found a start date. Throughout the project they charged additional 25% in extra costs that should've been included in original proposal. Do yourself a favor, get the low price estimate and shop it around to go with a higher quality installer.
They didn't really give me notification when they were going to do certain jobs and that created an issue for me. I still haven't gotten my warranty information, so I'm a little upset about that. They worked on my roof, I would grade them a B-. They were on time.
There was a problem with coordination with the project manager, the project, and the guys on the crew, who didn’t really speak English well. I had to call the project manager, who was off-site, and he had to call the guys and explain to them what had to be done. They were almost done with the job and they didn’t even put up any of the guards that I had paid for. They had to come back and do that. Was not offered ice breakers for metal roof and had issues the follow winter with ice damaging the gutters.
General on-site workers were knowledgeable about their craft but the foreman was untruthful at worst or just inept at his job at best.
They installed a metal roof on my barn, and gutters—and a skylight too. The negative experience has been the gutters. Within a week and a half they were falling down. I called and they said that it's because of the snow, and it's an Act of God, and there's nothing they can do about it. It cost me $200 to get it fixed. I called two other times. They did my roof. They did the bathroom. They did the outside drainage. That's it. We had to go up to the roof and tell them a couple of times that they couldn't just leave a dent in the roof. I had my roof completely ripped up down to the wood and replaced, but they didn't do a good job on it.
