General on-site workers were knowledgeable about their craft but the foreman was untruthful at worst or just inept at his job at best.
They installed a metal roof on my barn, and gutters—and a skylight too. The negative experience has been the gutters. Within a week and a half they were falling down. I called and they said that it's because of the snow, and it's an Act of God, and there's nothing they can do about it. It cost me $200 to get it fixed. I called two other times. They did my roof. They did the bathroom. They did the outside drainage. That's it. We had to go up to the roof and tell them a couple of times that they couldn't just leave a dent in the roof. I had my roof completely ripped up down to the wood and replaced, but they didn't do a good job on it. They actually left a dent in it and I had to go up and fill it in with tar and that's not the way you actually do it. I complained about it and they said they went up and did something else. They were doing the roof. They were just genuine and not like a bunch of fake salesmen. I'm going give them a B because we found after they left that they didn't sweep the attic, and the attic was covered in dust and nails, so in that way, they didn't cover and put down tarps. That was a big nightmare for us to clean up after. They didn't do the attic properly.
We ended up having to have another roofer come out and fix some issues they left. They were doing roof work. We had a slant roof. They ended up coming and doing asphalt shingles and they ended up not doing it right and it ended up leaking again, so we had to call another roofer out. I'd give them a D.
They did replacement windows for me. I am disappointed in one of the windows. They put in a double-hung window that should have been about four or five inches higher. It doesn’t look right and I don’t know why they did it that way. I think I might try Anderson Replacement next time. I might tell someone to try this company but I would tell them to make sure they get what they want.
It was OK. It turned out well, but we had time in the middle of it. The end result was good, but it was a hard row getting there. We had a really hard time getting them to do the job properly. We had full siding and gutters done. I would grade the overall experience as B-. The end result was good. I wouldn’t recommend them.
